Kirkenes summer highlights in one day, May – Nov (KPS00)

Book a day package with all our summer highlights included: Snowhotel, King Crab Safari and Kirkenes sightseeing in one day. Fits  for all guests, arriving by Hurtigruten/Havila and spend the day, leaving Kirkenes by flight in the evening. All transfers included. Luggage will be stored on board the bus.

DETAILED PROGRAMME:

09.30 Pick up at Hurtigruten/Havila pier or hotel in Kirkenes ACTIVITY: KIRKENES SIGHTSEEING AND BORDERLAND WITH VISIT AT SNOWHOTEL: in only 2 hours you get presented all highlights in Kirkenes. A guided trip by bus through Kirkenes, to the Russian border and the famous Snowhotel. Included is also guiding about Kirkenes, the way of living up here, the local history and our relations with Finland and Russia. Tour with a personal touch and a local guide.
Programme: First we take a Kirkenes sightseeing with stop at a viewpoint. We continue to the crossing point Storskog on the border between Norway and Russia. Your guide will provide information on the various historical events which took place in this area. Next stop is Kirkenes Snowhotel. Visit this cold world with its`beautiful ice sculptures. You can visit all the rooms, take pictures and order a hot beverage in our cafe. We also own a dog yard where you can cuddle with our dogs, or you spend some time with our reindeers roaming around the area. Total time at snowhotel app 1 hour. After this cool experience we go back to Kirkenes. ACTIVITY: KING CRAB SAFARI BY RIB BOAT INCL FRESH MEAL at 13.00 An experienced guide will take you for an unforgettable King Crab Fishing tour on a RIB boat where we will cruise along the fjord. Our fisherman guides will take you for a marine sightseeing outside Kirkenes. Sometimes porpoises (arctic dolphins) pops up around the boat, and stick around for a while. Then we head out for the pots (a box-shaped trap) to catch the biggest king crabs. You will be hands on deck, and help pull the pots from the depths of the fjord. Your catch is served in a traditional, renovated boat house by the fjord. Lunch will be fresh, fresh, fresh! The tour guide will provide you with protective clothing and necessary equipment. Normal health condition required. No access for wheel chair.

Back from the tour at 16.00 and 17.00 TRANSFER TO KIRKENES AIRPORT with arrival 17.30
