17.00 – Pick-up from your hotel in Kirkenes
Start your evening with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Kirkenes. Your adventure begins at the Snowhotel, a magical place made entirely of ice and snow. You’ll be welcomed by the team and get a chance to experience the beauty of this unique hotel, which is one of the most iconic attractions in the region.
- Meet the Huskies and Reindeer: Visit our husky kennels, where you can interact with these friendly, energetic dogs. Feed the reindeer and learn about these fascinating animals that are a big part of the local culture.
- Explore the Snowhotel: Take a guided tour of the Snowhotel and marvel at the stunning ice sculptures and ice rooms, a true winter wonderland.
19.00 – Delicious 3-course Dinner at “Låven” Restaurant
Enjoy a warm and cozy dining experience in our traditional log restaurant, “Låven”. Here, you’ll be treated to a delicious 3-course dinner made from locally sourced ingredients, offering you a true taste of the Arctic.
21.00 – Northern Lights Hunt by Bus
After your dinner, embark on the Aurora hunt by bus by bus, directly from the restaurant. Your driver will take you far away from light pollution, with routes depending on the aurora forecast
- East towards the Russian border
- West towards Finland
- South into the breathtaking Pasvik Valley
This part of the tour gives you the best chance of spotting the Northern Lights. Even if the aurora doesn’t appear, the journey offers a beautiful exploration in the area
Please note: The Northern Lights hunt is operated by another provider, and the tour will run even in bad weather. The bus will make several stops for the best photo opportunities and scenic views.
