Tour Overview

Join Sami artist John Henrik Mienna for an intimate 1-hour journey into Sami culture and Arctic nature. Meet majestic reindeer, hear stories from Sami folklore, and experience the unique art of “Joik” — traditional Sami singing. This is a hands-on, immersive experience suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

What You Will Experience

🦌 Meet the Reindeer:

• Feed the reindeer by hand with their favorite tundra food, lichen
• Learn about their role in Sami culture and everyday life

🔥 Lavvu & Sami Storytelling:

• Walk to the traditional Sami tent (Lavvu) inside the reindeer pen
• Hear stories from Sami folklore and John Henrik’s personal experiences
• Experience a live “Joik” performance, the unique Sami form of singing

🏨 Optional Snowhotel Visit:

• After the Sami experience, you may explore Snowhotel Kirkenes if time allows
