What You Will Experience

  Your Arctic evening starts with a comfortable pickup from your accommodation and a short drive to the snowmobile base.

  After a safety briefing and getting suited up, set off on a guided snowmobile ride across frozen fjords or lakes, depending on ice conditions.
  • You’ll ride two people per snowmobile (or solo, if booked).
  • Several scenic stops are included to spot the Northern Lights (weather permitting).
• 🦀 Catch Your Own King Crab
  If conditions allow, you’ll visit the ice-covered catching spots and help retrieve crab pots from under the ice. If not, the experience takes place at the harbor.
• 🔥 Campfire Dinner in a Lavvo Tent
  After the ride, gather inside a traditional lavvo (Sámi tent) where we serve:
  • Freshly cooked King Crab with garnish
  • Coffee and tea
  • A cozy fire to warm up and share stories
• 🚐 Return to Kirkenes
  After dinner, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel, with memories to last a lifetime.

❗ Important Notes:

• ✅ A valid driver’s license is required to drive a snowmobile.
• 🚫 Guests without a license can participate only as passengers.
• 👶 Minimum age: 4 years old. Snowmobile tours are not suitable for children under 7 years.
• 🌅 April tours do not include Northern Lights viewing, as the evenings are too bright — but the experience is still available as a scenic evening trip.
