Feed a reindeer and visit a Sami family (GR 20 )

A visit to a reindeer herd in Finnish Lapland. You are there when the Sami owners of the herd feed the animals and can also feed the reindeer yourself. A great experience with these unique animals. The tour goes in a spectacular landscape along the fjord to Finland (app 1 hour driving)

More information about the tour

This tour takes us from Kirkenes via Neiden to Finland, the land of the Sami people. We drive along the beautiful Munkefjord and to Neiden. Here we take a stop at the magic waterfall “Skoltefossen” and learn more about the Skolte Sami culture. We continue and cross the border in to Finland where we visit a Skolte Sami family that farms reindeer. The animals are free around the house and you can even pet them. Each guest receives a bowl of food and helps feed the animals.
We highly recommend to add a traditional reindeer soup, served in our lavo tent around the open fire.

Welcome to enjoy the authenticity of the Arctic nature in the North!

NOTE: this tour is carried out in Finland, so a border crossing from Norway to Finland is necessary.
