Feed a reindeer and visit a Sami family (GR 20 )

A visit to a reindeer herd in Finnish Lapland. You are there when the Sami owners of the herd feed the animals and can also feed the reindeer yourself. A great experience with these unique animals. The tour goes in a spectacular landscape along the fjord to Finland (app 1 hour driving)

More information about the tour

A nice experience for groups who want to learn more about the Sami culture and have a close meeting with the reindeers. We start from Kirkenes via Neiden to Finland, the land of the Sami people. We drive along the beautiful Munkefjord and to Neiden. Here we take a stop at the magic waterfall “Skoltefossen” and learn more about the Skolte Sami culture. We continue and cross the border in to Finland where we visit a Skolte Sami family that farms reindeer. The animals are free around the house and you can even pet them. Each guest receives a bowl of food and helps feed the animals.  A breathtaking experience in the silence of the Finish forrest.
NOTE: this tour is carried out in Finland, so a border crossing from Norway to Finland is necessary.
