Our focus is on easy pace, safety, skill learning, simple comfort, good stories, and camaraderie.

We pick you up at 9:30 from your location in Kirkenes and proceed to Sandnes, 15 min drive away. At Sandnes we dress up and you are introduced to expedition skiing and camping before we set out on our expedition tour. We ascend to a beautiful treeless plateau where we travel in ‘ski expedition style’, pulling our sleds with our equipment. On the plateau we may encounter reindeer and see northern lights. At lunch time we pitch our expedition tents and prepare lunch inside using stoves, melted snow, and tasty freeze-dried food. You will return to Kirkenes (or KKN airport) by 17:30.

Guests bring:
• Full legs/arms underwear (wool), jacket/sweater (wool or fleece), windproof pants and jacket with hood with ventilation options, vest (down), large winter jacket with hood that fit over the other clothing layers, beanie, sunglasses/goggles. Feel free to bring your own liner + wool socks, liner gloves + mittens, buff, and balaclava.
• Are you not able to bring one or more of the items listed get in touch and we may be able to borrow
• You must inform your normal shoe size (Europe) when booking

Guest profile: No prior experience to skiing or winter camping needed. We travel slowly and safely, but you should be able to comfortably walk 6km in hilly terrain
